Invitation to Germany

Dear Comenius participants,

Our topic for the days from the 25th/26th to the 30th of October 2014 is “Environment and Sustainability”.

We’ll visit the “Ruhrgebiet”, the Ruhr area, to see German power stations and big companies and from there we’ll also go on a short trip to the centre of Cologne. Furthermore we’ll visit the German energy provider “RWE”.

Of course we’ll also do some work at school and for our final discussion on Wednesday we’ve invited a very special guest.

On the last evening (Wednesday) there will be a European evening: everybody of you is invited to cook or bring something that is typical for your country. So if you want you can bring something for that evening, but perhaps you can also ask your host family to buy something in a supermarket.

Here in Germany it is most of the time really rainy and a little bit cold at the end of October, so it would be better not to forget water-proof clothes. But sometimes it can also be still sunny and nice. We’ll see!

We Germans are really pleased to welcome you here in Rees!

Many greetings from Germany and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!
